Toys For Blessings Moving Into 2020

Posted June 30, 2020

Toys for Blessings (TFB) ended 2019 in the production of 36,659 toys (which included 32,373 wooden cars) for the year and, since the inception of TFB back in 2014, 135,040 toys have been made and distributed to children around the world. These toys have been made through the hard work of volunteers, in addition to the support of our sponsors and individual donors.

We are blessed that 98% of our toys are packed in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse. The Philippines and Mongolia are a couple of countries that received our toys in 2019. Our goal has always been to honor God through the production of quality toys and to show his love to children around the world in a tangible way.

While our toys are given free of charge in support of churches packing shoeboxes for OCC, we always welcome donations needed to cover the cost of production. In 2019 our cost of production was $10,182 to produce 32,373 cars, or approximately 31 cents each. The biggest cost is for wheels and axles, which we must purchase from outside vendors.

During 2019 we received donations covering 25% of our costs. Your support for TFB is a great blessing, and answer to prayer. Every dollar that is donated to TFB is helping to impact the life of children around the world who receive cars and other toys crafted in one of our workshops.
